Our family has been at WCDS for three and a half years and both of our babies (now 3 and 5 yrs. old) have been truly loved by the many great teachers that work here. Somehow, each one seems even better than the next! The staff and teachers run a tight ship and we always feel that our kids are as safe as possible, especially on field trips, which I have witnessed first hand several times. In addition to love and safety, our kids learn a lot! I don’t think our kids have ever complained of being bored at school. The extra curricular activities, such as ballet, stretch-n-grow and Spanish are also wonderful for expanding their minds, while being ultra convenient for the parents! And the summers are packed with fun activities. We have recommended WCDS to friends and co-workers many times.
Having three children enrolled at West County, I can attest to the quality of care that is provided, from the infant room right up through the school-age classroom. It’s a great learning environment with large indoor/outdoor play spaces, a special kid-sized computer lab, and well-equipped classrooms. The teachers and front office staff provide age-appropriate activities, both during and after hours, and are friendly, compassionate, and patient. At the end of the day, I’m always amazed at what all my kids have learned and activities they have participated in. The facilities are always clean and well-maintained and every time I walk through the door, it’s very clear that the West County staff and management take pride in what they do.
We have had our daughter at WCDS for more than two years (since she was 12 weeks old) and we are very happy with her development due to the school’s curriculum and staff. The daily classroom structure has helped her grow and thrive. It is a great feeling to see her excited when we pick her up so she can tell us all about her daily activities, but doesn’t want to leave because she enjoys being in a learning and loving environment. The family like atmosphere begins from the top down. We know we can bring questions or concerns to the director at anytime, and the teachers treat the kids and each other like family. Teachers go above and beyond to provide us, as well as our daughter, extra support if we are away on a business trip, and have even reached out to us after school hours to see if our daughter was feeling better, or to see if she achieved potty training milestones over the weekend! We have also enjoyed meeting and socializing with other working parents, and found that being part of WCDS makes a school feel like a community.
