Early Learners
(2 - 3 years old)

Explore and Discover

As toddlers mature socially, cognitively and emotionally, they reach that all important “two year” milestone saying “good-bye” to the toddler stage and moving towards independence.

At West County Day School, we encourage children to explore their environment, develop self-help and cooperation skills and the ability to share.

West County Day School engages in activities such as circle time, language arts, music, art and family living. Our circle time activities allow the maturing two year old a new forum for learning. In addition, at this age we begin to introduce a science center, a dramatic play center and a greater choice of art materials for art exploration.  Our learning centers are designed to challenge a variety of developmental milestones.

Energetic West County Day School teachers plan a balance of quiet activities such as art, puzzles and story time with plenty of fun and excitement including music and movement, running, jumping and climbing.

These activities ensure that your tireless two year old will never be bored! You will receive daily communication updates on your child’s progress.

Our well rounded educational programs are a perfect enhancement for our Early Learners program and include:
