Director Stephanie OwenWest County Day School offers quality care and education to infants through Kindergarten and a Before and After School Program for Elementary students. Becoming a part of WCDS means you enter in to a new family. Our qualified/educated staff gives your child an environment they can feel safe in so they can blossom socially, emotionally and cognitively. We partner with our families in the care and education of your child. Whether it is the transition to table food, potty training, recognizing colors or writing and reading their first words we will communicate with you openly and work with you collectively to get these tasks mastered.

At WCDS we offer developmentally appropriate center based classrooms that will stimulate your child at each developmental milestone. Out infant/toddler classrooms are divided into six month intervals to meet your child’s changing needs at each toddler stage. In our infant/toddler programs we implement curriculum such as Baby Signs, Fun with Fitness, colors, shapes, sensory, literature and much more. At the age of two the curriculum adds new form with the addition of Zoo Phonics, our theme based phonics curriculum, Math Their Way, Spanish and more. Additionally when your child enters our Pre-Kindergarten the curriculum again adds eve more shape preparing your child for Kindergarten using our Kindergarten Readiness program that incorporates cognitive skills with social skills.

Educationally we have a great staff body that provides quality Kindergarten preparation for preschool children. We have a number of staff that holds Associates and Bachelor degrees and some with Masters. We balance the education with staff that is seasoned and experienced in the field of early childhood education. We also have begun to offer a Private Kindergarten. We have just begun this program and will be focusing on the growth of the program in the coming years.

WCDS’ School-Age program offers before and after school care for children Kindergarten age through 12 years old. This program provides free transportation to and from local Elementary Schools, as well as a full day program for all out of school days and a Summer Camp program. Our Hilltown campus offers all the amenities a school-age child would need. This campus also houses all children in their last year of Pre-Kindergarten.
