It All Begins Here - Infants

As you tour West County Day School you will see that ocean life is our theme. Each one of our classrooms is named for a fish in the ocean.

Little Guppies
Our infant room cares for 8 young babies with two teachers. Children remain in the infant room until they are mobile. Once they are able to navigate around the room, they are moved to a more challenging environment, assuring the safety and a more calm environment for our young babies.

Transitions
Children transition to the next age group on the first Monday after August 15th. Children transition as
a group at one time, rather than individually. This assures that they have familiar friends around them
as they begin in a new environment with new teachers. Some teachers loop with their children,
moving into the next age group with them.
