As you tour West County Day School you will see that ocean life is our theme. Each one of our classrooms is named for a fish in the ocean

Dolphins
This classroom houses children who have turned two within the last 6 months. The children are busy potty training, and working towards teacher directed goals for this age. Ratios for this group are 1:8,
with 16 children and 2 teachers.

Rainbow Fish
This classroom is a single teacher room with 8 children between the age of 2 1/2 and 3.

Transitions
Children transition to the next age group on the first Monday after August 15th. Children transition as
a group at one time, rather than individually. This assures that they have familiar friends around them
as they begin in a new environment with new teachers. Some teachers loop with their children,
moving into the next age group with them.
